Check of a brake boot
Survey should be carried out in the following points after the course of the brake lever "c" (a gap between a pedal and a bitumen leaf) is checked as is described in point «Check of a superfluous course of a pedal» in this section even if it exceeds 115 mm (4.53 inches). Degree of wear of a brake shoe can be checked as follows.

- Raise a vehicle.
- Remove a rubber cap (1) from a board of a drum-type brake.
- Through an opening in a board visually check thickness of a block of a brake slip (2). If the thickness of an overlay of "f" is less, than the specified limit of wear, replace brake shoes with the new. Thickness of a back brake shoe of "f": a wear limit — 1.0 mm (0.04 inches).
