Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove a brake drum (address to item of 1-6 procedure of removal of the Section the Brake drum).
  2. Check color of a ring or a tape for reinstallation.

The color ring on a brake cable serves for identification.

  1. Disconnect a cable of the parking brake from the lever of a brake shoe (address to item of 2-5 procedures of removal of the Section the Brake shoe).
  2. Disconnect a brake cable from a back plate of a brake (address to item of 4 procedures of removal of the Section the Back plate of a brake of this Chapter).

When it is necessary to remove cables and the right and left parking brake, repeat the steps described above for the right and left wheels.

  1. Remove a cable about the lever of the parking brake (address to item 1 and 4 - the 6th procedures of removal of the Section the Lever of the parking brake).

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Establish parts as it should be, the return to removal procedure, having paid attention to the following.
  2. Establish a cap of a brake cable (2) on a back plate of a brake (1) having fixed it.

The color ring or tape on a brake cable serve for identification. Use a cable with the same color ring, as before removal.

  1. Establish a spring of a brake cable (2) and a branch pipe (3) on the lever of a block of the parking brake (1) and fix.
  1. For installation of a brake shoe, address to item of 1-5 procedure of installation of the Section the Brake shoe.
  2. For installation of a brake drum, address to the Section the Brake drum.
  3. Correctly stretch and reliably fix clips a cable of the parking brake.
  4. For cable installation on the lever of the parking brake, address to subsection Section Installation the Lever of the parking brake.
  5. On completion of installation, adjust a cable (address to the Section Check and adjustment of the parking brake in Head Brake system). Then check, whether there is no jamming of a brake drum, and whether the brake system correctly works. After removal of a vehicle from the lift it is necessary to inspect a brake.
