Any check and replacement of spare parts are carried out only on the idle engine. |
Check of a belt of the generator and the cooling pump (on G16 engines)
|
|
- Disconnect "weight" from joint stock bank.
- Believe a belt on cracks, anguishes, deformation, wear and purity.
- At detection of any defect replace a belt.
- Check a belt on a tension.
- Tension of a belt of the generator and cooling pomp:
- "and" — a deflection of 5 — 7 mm (0.20 — 0.28 inches) for G16.

3 — 100 N, 10 kg or 22 pounds

At replacement of a belt on new, adjust a belt tension to a deflection of 5 — 6 mm (0. 20 — 0. 24 inches) for G16. |
- If a belt will draw or it is too poorly tense, adjust to norm, by generator moving.
- Tighten an adjusting bolt of the generator and шкворень.
- Connect "weight" to joint stock bank.

Replace a belt. See. A belt of the cooling fan in Head engine Cooling for procedure of replacement of a belt of the water pump.
Check of a driving belt of the pump of cooling, the generator, the amplifier of a wheel, the conditioner compressor (if it is provided)

“a” — area of a normal tension
“b” — limiting area
“c” — area of excess of a limit.

- Disconnect "weight" from joint stock bank.
- Check a belt on cracks, anguishes, deformation, wear and purity.
- At detection of any defect replace a belt
- Check, that the indicator of a natyazhitel of "A" was in the area "a".
- If the indicator "A" is in the zone "c", having passed «b», replace a generator belt with the new.

Check of a driving belt of the fan of cooling of the engine (for the J20 engine)

2 — the fan coupling
3 — the crankshaft coupling
4 — an adjusting bolt and шкворень

|
- Disconnect "weight" from joint stock bank.
- Check a belt on cracks, anguishes, deformation, wear and purity.
- At detection of any defect replace a belt
- Check a belt on a tension
- Tension of a belt of the fan of cooling:
- «a» — a deflection in 5-7 mm (0. 20-0. The 27th inch) under load of 100 N, 10 kg or 22 pounds.

At replacement of a belt on new, adjust a belt tension to a deflection of 4 — 5 mm (0. 16 — 0. The 19th inch) for G16. |
- If a belt will draw or it is too poorly tense, adjust to norm, by adjustment of a pulley of the fan of cooling.
- Tighten an adjusting bolt of the generator and шкворень.
- Connect "weight" to joint stock bank.

Replacement of a belt of the fan of cooling (on the J20 engine)
Replace, according to procedure of replacement of a driving belt of the fan of cooling in the Section the Belt of the cooling fan in Head engine Cooling.
Check of a driving belt of the pump of the power steering and the conditioner compressor (if it is established) (on G16 engines)

3 — a pulley of the compressor of the conditioner (if it is equipped)
4 — a pulley of a natyazhitel of a belt
5 — bolts of a pulley of a natyazhitel

- Disconnect "weight" from joint stock bank.
- Check a belt on cracks, anguishes, deformation, wear and purity.
- At detection of any defect replace a belt.
- Check a belt tension
- Tension of a belt of the pump of the power steering and conditioner compressor:
- «a» — a deflection in 6-9 mm (0.24 – 0.35 inches) under load of 100 N, 10 kg or 22 pounds.
- «b» — a deflection in 4-7 mm (0.16 – 0.28 inches) under load of 100 N, 10 kg or 22 pounds.
- If the tension of a belt falls outside the limits this specification, adjust according to the Section the Driving belt of the pump of the power steering in Head power steering System.
- Connect "weight" to joint stock bank.

Replacement of a driving belt of the pump of the power steering and/or the conditioner compressor (if it is established) (on G16 engines)
Replace a belt and then adjust its tension according to the procedure of replacement of a belt described in the Section the Driving belt of the pump of the power steering in Head System of the power steering.
