Water pump
Removal
For the G16 engine
|
|
- Disconnect a negative cable (-) from the accumulator.
- Merge cooling system.
- Remove a gear belt of a drive and a natyazhitel, having addressed to the Section the Belt of a drive of the gas-distributing mechanism and the tension device for a belt in Head Engines.
|
|
- Remove rubber consolidation (1) between the oil pump and the water pump.
|
|
|
- Remove directing oil щупа (1) with oil the shchupy.
|
|
|
- Remove the adjusting lever of the generator (1).
|
|
|
- Remove knot of the water pump (1).
|
|
|
Do not assort the water pump. If it is required to repair the pump, replace it as the uniform unit. |
|
|
For the J20 engine
|
|
- Disconnect a negative cable (-) from the accumulator.
- Merge cooling liquid.
- Disconnect a final hose of a radiator from a thermostat (2) cover.
- Remove a bolt of an exhaust pipe of a heater (1).
- Remove a generator belt, having turned off a pulley of a natyazhitel. Address to the Section a generator Belt in Head electric equipment System.

- Remove knot of the water pump (1), having removed its 4 bolts (2).

Do not turn off an adjusting pin when remove the water pump (1). |

Check
For the G16 engine
|
|
Povrashchayte the water pump a hand to check, how exactly it functions. If the pump rotates not smoothly or makes noise, replace it. |
For the J20 engine
|
|
|
|
Do not assort the water pump. If it is necessary to repair the pump, replace it as the uniform unit. |
|
|
|
- Povrashchayte the water pump a hand to check, how exactly it functions. If the pump rotates not smoothly or makes noise, replace it.
- Check, whether the driving wheel (2) of the water pump (1) is damaged. If it is necessary, replace.

Do not assort the water pump to check the driving wheel of the water pump. |

Installation
For the G16 engine
|
|
- Put new laying for the pump (2) in the block of cylinders.
|
|
- Establish the water pump (1) in the block of cylinders. The rotating moment of an inhaling: a bolt of the water pump (G16 engine) (and) — 12 N • m (1.2 kg-m, 8.5 pound on foot).
|
|
|
- After installation of the water pump put rubber consolidation (1) between the water pump and the oil pump.
|
- Establish a natyazhitel of a belt, a gear belt of a drive and an external cover of a gear belt of a drive, having addressed to the Section the Belt of a drive of the gas-distributing mechanism and the tension device for a belt in Head Engines.
|
|
- Establish the adjusting lever of the generator (1).
|
|
|
- Establish directing oil щупа (1), having greased with engine oil ring-shaped consolidation (2).
|
- Establish a crankshaft pulley, a pulley of the water pump, a belt of a drive of the pump, cooling the fan / coupling and a fan casing.
- The rotating moment of an inhaling
- nuts cooling fans/couplings (G 6 engine): 11 N • m (1.1 kg-m, 8.0 pound on foot)
- bolts of a pulley of No. 2 crankshafts (G16 engine): 16 N • m (1.6 kg-m, 11.5 pound on foot)
- Adjust a tension of a belt of the cooling fan as earlier it was described.
- Connect a negative cable (-) to the accumulator.
- Fill in cooling liquid.
- After installation check each detail on a leakage.

For the J20 engine
|
|
|
|
- Put new ring-shaped consolidation (1) on the water pump (2).
|
|
|
Do not forget to put adjusting pins on the party of the water pump before placing the water pump in the engine block. |
- Establish the water pump (1), using new bolts (2) on the block of cylinders and fasten them to the specified rotating moment. The rotating moment of an inhaling: a bolt of the water pump (J20 engine) (and) — 27 N • m (2.7 kg-m, 19.5 pound on foot).

Use new bolts (only 4) to establish the water pump in the engine block. If it not to make, water can leak. |

- Establish a bolt of an exhaust pipe of a heater (1).
- Establish a generator belt. Address to Head electric equipment System.
- Establish a final hose of a radiator on a thermostat (2) cover.
- Fill in cooling liquid.
- Connect a negative cable to the accumulator.
