Generator belt

Survey

See. The water pump, the generator, a steering with the amplifier and/or a driving belt of the A/C compressor (J20 engines) in the Section Maintenance.

2 — a pulley of a cranked shaft
3 — a pulley of the fan of a radiator
4 — a tension pulley
5 — the tension device

Removal

Disconnect a negative wire from the battery before removal and installation of a belt of the generator.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Weaken the tension device, having turned it clockwise.
  2. Holding the tension device and a belt, remove also a generator belt.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Weaken the tension device, having turned a tension pulley clockwise.
  2. Holding the tension device, establish a generator belt.

  • Be convinced that the belt enters into all flutes of a pulley.
  • After installation of a belt of the generator execute described above check and be convinced that the indicator of a tension has standard indicators.
