Suspension bracket/plug lever

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove a cylindrical spring. See in this Chapter the Section the Cylindrical spring.
  2. Remove bolts and nuts of the lever of a suspension bracket. Then remove the suspension bracket lever.
  3. Carefully, not to damage a face surface of the lever of a suspension bracket, cut off a flange part of the plug of the lever of a suspension bracket (rubber and steel). Size "A": about 6 mm (0.236 inches).

  1. Put the lever of a suspension bracket and the special tool on a hydraulic press. Combine a cut-off flange of the lever of a suspension bracket with the welded part (1) special tool, and the party of connection with the suspension bracket lever with a step part (2) of the special tool. The special tool (A) — 09951-46020.

With extra care pull out the plug of the lever of a suspension bracket to press it vertically. Otherwise it is possible to be traumatized.


  1. Remove the forward plug, having pulled out it by means of a hydraulic press (1) and the special tool.

  1. Remove the back plug, having pulled out it by means of a hydraulic press (1) and the special tool.

Installation

Forward plug

By means of the special tool, press the forward plug (2) while its flange will not concern edge of the case of the lever of a suspension bracket.

Cave-in of the plug can be facilitated if to process an internal surface of the case of the lever of a suspension bracket soap water or oil with additives.

Back plug

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. By means of the special tool, press the back plug (2) while its flange will not concern edge of the case of the lever of a suspension bracket.

Cave-in of the plug can be facilitated if to process an internal surface of the case of the lever of a suspension bracket soap water or oil with additives.

And — the flange of the plug concerns edge of the case
  1. Establish the suspension bracket lever on the chassis.
  2. Lower the car in situation without loading and tighten a nut of the lever of a suspension bracket to the specified value of the moment of an inhaling.

In model with the H27 engine do not use repeatedly back nut of the forward lever of a suspension bracket (1).

    • Inhaling moment:
      • Forward nut of the lever of a suspension bracket (a): 85 N • m (8.5 kg-m, 61.5 pounds foots)
      • Back nut of the lever of a suspension bracket (b): 126 N • m (12.6 kg-m, 91.0 pound foot)
