Precautionary measures at service of electric chains

At a detachment and connection of sockets, surely switch off ignition, otherwise electronic components can be damaged.

Be accurate, do not concern contacts of the equipment using microcomputers (electronic control units, such as ECM, PCM, P/S the controler). Since the static electricity of your body can damage these components.

Never connect a tester (the voltmeter, an ohmmeter or another) to the electronic control unit, at the disconnected socket. Attempt make it can to lead to its breakage.

Never connect an ohmmeter to the electronic control unit, with the connected socket. Attempt make it can to lead to damage of the electronic control unit and sensors.

Use only the specified measuring devices (voltmeter/ohmmeter). Otherwise exact measurements can be not reached or it can lead to traumas.

At carrying out measurements on sockets by means of a tester, insert щуп from wires (the back party) konnektor.

At connection щупа a multimeter from socket contacts in case of impossibility of connection from wires, be extremely accurate, do not bend socket pins effort of a reciprocal part of the socket open for connection. In case of the socket presented in drawing below, connect щуп, as shown, to avoid disconnection of contacts of the covering socket. Never connect щуп a multimeter in a place, pin calling.

At check of sockets, check pins on a nezagnutost, and covering socket on an open condition. Also check both parts on short circuit, disconnection, corrosion, a dust etc. Before tension measurement on contacts check, that tension of joint stock bank 11 V.Proverka were not lower than tension on contacts at a low charge of joint stock bank leads to erroneous results of diagnostics.
