Precautionary measures at work with the catalyst
For cars equipped with the catalyst, use only unleaded gasoline, and try not to allow hits of a large amount of not burned down fuel in the catalyst since it can lead to its damage.
- Inspect an ignition spark only if necessary, do it as soon as possible and at the closed butterfly valve.
- Carry out compression measurement for the minimum possible time.
- Avoid situations which can lead to ignition admissions (for example, engine start at almost empty fuel tank).
