Spark plug

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Extend a wire of a high voltage, holding its cap.
  2. Remove the ignition coil, having addressed to the Section Assembly of the coil of ignition (igniter and the ignition coil) in this Chapter.
  1. Remove a spark plug (1).

Survey

At service of iridic/platinum spark plugs (type of candles with a thin central electrode), do not touch the central electrode not to damage it. An electrode not rather strong to sustain mechanical effort, and its material also mechanically not so strong.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check them on:
    • Wear of electrodes
    • Carbon adjournment
    • Isolation damage
  1. If any malfunction is found, adjust an air gap, clear a special cleaner for spark plugs or replace them with new candles as it is specified. Air gap of a spark plug of "a": 1.0-1.1 mm (0.039 - 0.043 inches). Spark plug type: NGK BKR6E-11/IFR6E 11/IFR6J11, DENSO K20PR-U11/SK20PR-A11.

It is extremely recommended to use NGKIFR6E11 or IFR6J11 for the best start of the engine.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Establish a spark plug (1) and tighten it according to the specified torque of an inhaling. Inhaling torque: a candle (and) ignitions) — 25 N • m (2.5 kg-m, 18.0 pounds foots).
  1. Establish ignition coils, having addressed to the Section Assembly of the coil of ignition (igniter and the ignition coil) in this Chapter.
  2. Establish a wire of a high voltage, holding its cap.
