Balancing of wheels

There are two types of balance of wheels and tires: static and dynamic.

Static balance represents equal distribution of weight to a wheel. Statically not the balanced wheels cause the vertical oscillating motion called by jumping. Such condition results in non-uniform wear of tires.

[A] — Before adjustment
[В] — Correcting weight
1 — heavy jumping of a wheel
2 — balancing cargoes in an additional point
3 — the central line of a spindle

Dynamic balance represents equal distribution of weight to each party of the central line of a wheel in such a manner that at wheel rotation it does not move here and there. Dynamically unbalanced wheels can cause шимми (being self-raised angular fluctuation of wheels).

[С] — Before adjustment
[D] — Correcting weight
1 — heavy шимми wheels
2 — balancing cargoes in an additional point
3 — the central line of an axis of a fist
